Pumpui's resident duo Djane Katamii & Henzi have proven countless times how wide the range of music they play is... Progressive and always fresh, here's their set packed full of summer memories. Tune in on 16th November 2013 Saturday 5pm CET on the Trance channel.
Djane Katamii was the anchor of a rock, pop, funky, soul, rap, hip hop radio station from 2006. No surprise that music became an important part of her life. The popular genres of the early years have been replaced by main stream electronic music in 1999-2000, from where she slided into the psychedelic world of underground music. In the next 6 years 148 bpm slowed down to 135, meanwhile she learned to mix for her and her friends amusement. So came the summer of 2010 when progressive psytrance has been replaced by different tech genres (psy, minimaltechno, techno, tech-proghouse). By then she used all of her free time to search and get to know the work of the interprets of this genre. This is how listening to music changed into an everyday musical routine which lured her behind the decks with the support of a close circle of friends. Her first opportunity to play for a bigger audience was at the 0.day of Ozora festival 2011 in the Pumpui tent. Since that she played at many parties including Maskaride after Gabriel Le Mar.
Dj Henzi Started his musical path in around his early teens with his love to drums, after he first heard his first psytrance record he knew this musical genre would not let him go because it has the something that he was missing from electronical music until that moment. So there was no question that he would like to become a DJ or producer. After the first smaller friendly gatherings and parties where he mostly played psytrance and full-on, he sailed over to slower waters. That is how he became a lover of progressive trance. But nowadays you can hear the finest mix of technodelic / techhouse / deephouse tunes from him that win that crowd and every dancer on the dance floor if day or night. As for the moment he is one of the decisive characters in the musical world of the Pumpui team.
