Bélaműhely makes their instruments (sounding objects) out of industrial trash, discarded objects, barrels, pipes, bicycle and computer parts, troughs, pans and paper boxes. The band „Bélaműhely” or belamuhely was formed in 2007 in Budapest. Along with Tobias Terebessy and the „Medencecsoport” which is a group of great artists we make our instruments out of household and industrial trash. In our concert program you can find from Transylvanian, Gipsy, Jewish songs through the classical and contemporary hungarian poets, to the most modern, abstract and avant garde rhythmical music on instruments and sounds you’ve probably never heard in music. With our programmes we’ve been to international music festival „Sziget”, on art festival in Budapest: The Night of the Museums, and in the most respected Budapest art clubs, theaters and open air fests.
