We are airing the Magic Garden concert of Baba Zula, Turkish delight of the Dragon Nest stage in Ozora Festival 2013. From Monday 8pm CET on the Chill channel.
Baba Zula the Turkish alternative rock band was founded in 1996. With a wide variety of influences and a wide range of instruments, they create a unique psychedelic sound during their concerts and on their numerous releases as well. The Baba Zula sound combines traditional Turkish instruments, electronic music, or even reggae and dub. The core of their sound is the saz, a Turkish bouzouki-like stringed instrument with a bright, high-pitched sound.
Baba Zula features founding members Levent Akman (spoons, percussions, machines, toys), Murat Ertel (saz and other stringed instruments, vocals, oscillators, theremin), as well as darbuka and percussion player Cosar Kamci.
Airing times this week for Baba Zula's live concert we recorded in Ozora Festival 2013 at the Dragon Nest Stage: Monday 8pm, Tuesday 2pm, Wednesday 8am, Thursday 2am, Sunday 8am CET on the Chill channel. Tune in!
