Daksinamurti is a cultural anthropologist and psytrance artist from Marburg, Germany, managing the South Africa based label TIMECODE and SANGOMA Records with Gata Freak from Doha.
With more then a decade of experience he looks back to a colorful history.
Daksi has worked with various labels such Shiva Space Technology and Nexus Media, Dacru and is a DJ for Peak Records based in Switzerland.
In 2012 Till teamed up with South African producer Tickets/Brethren formed their act “Android Spirit”, constantly working on music in their Germany based studio. 2013 they started to release music on various compilations and are about to unleash the debut album “Synthetic Organism” on Timecode in December.
Till has built a reputation within the international psytrance scene and shared his musical visions and vibes at various parties and festivals such as: Boom (Portugal), Universo Paralello (Brazil), S.U.N Festival (Hungary), Alien Safari (South Africa), Gemini (USA), VuuV, Antaris, Fusion, Fullmoon Festival (Germany) among others.
Daksinamurti prefers to play extended sets that have the ability to create a storyline that leads from night to light - a colorful journey through powerful psychedelic trance with strong grooves, organic/tribal soundscapes, filled with surprises, and sometimes even a blend of Goatrance. Covering a wide range of music his love for diversity is also reflected in multiple compilation releases he worked on or helped with.
As an ethnologist he studies temporary cultures and has an academic focus on the topics: Hinduism, Shamanism, Animism, Mythology, New Religious Movements, Youth and Counter Culture, Paganism, Native American & indigenous cultures and various other subjects. These themes reflect in his work with Sangoma Records which aim is to show a different perspective towards new influences of contemporary psychedelic music and therefore create culture.
