Chameleon, aka Alex Goodwill embarked on his voyage into the world of Psychedelic music back in the mid nineties, when he first went to London to explore the legendary Megatripolis party experience, which was a huge part of the growing phenomenon that was the early days of the London Goa Trance movement.
Around the same time, Tyssen Street Studios became a popular venue for such parties, including Enlightenment, Utopia, Pagan, Subliminal and Kundalini, among many others. These events became a calling to leave his quiet and insular countryside existence to discover a whole new dimension of life, self-expression and interaction with some of the wildest freaks London had to offer.
Having completed his A-Levels, Alex swiftly moved to London in 1999 to study sound engineering at SAE in North London. Since then he's been dj'ing in many places around the world, including Goa, Amsterdam, Brazil and many European cities in-between. The highlight of 2009 so far, was his epic live performance on saturday nite at the legendary Glade Festival.
Since 2000, Alex has been learning how to produce music and helping to organize various successful events in London such as The Warp Experience, Synergy Project, Kailas, and many other "underground" affairs.
In 2008 Alex had his first major release on Nano records, working with Dj Pogo on the opening track ‘Onwards and Upwards’ on the last Wingmakers compilation. Neurobiotic’s forthcoming compilation will also be featuring a collaboration track with ace Mexican producer Tron – called "Phatty Bom Bom"…
Since 2010 I have made some other releases, including the Reptilian Genetics in Feb 2012, ‘The Greatful Dread’ and single with Tron, and since then I have been working on music, but also taking time out from music production and partying for “personal development” and working to pay the bills. Now I’m almost ready to release my next EP, and then the full album soon afterwards.
