Jana, born in Frankfurt/Main Germany 1984, nowardays based in south of Spain, had gone on a mystical, personal investigation journey before she discovered the world of “psychedelic trance experiences”, which turned out to be the complementig component to complete the rational with the experiential aspects.
In 2002 she began on her own to develop curiosity for human existence, the psyche and the mystical aspects that are acompaning human daily life mostly unnoticed. After a series of personal studies, researches and experiences, in her first PsyTrance “Initiation” in 2006 she directly feels the connection of the “psychedelic trance experience” and the relation to the mystical, spiritual world. The beat pumping like the pulse of mother Earth, the sharing community dancing the shamans rhythms, the interconnectedness through the sound experience... she was completely falling in love with that essence, that Ritual.
Shortly after this “mystic inspiration” she gets deeper into the scene, working with, co-organizing & performing in Parties like “Cosmic Journey” presenting the Alex Grey Movie “CoSM: the Movie” in late 2007 as well as ”Fantasia Festival” in late 2008 in Frankfurt; “FeuerWelt” 2009, Germany; the “Changeling Experience” 2009; “Make Your Transition” Festival 2010 & “Transition Festival” Spain, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, Connection Festival 2012, 2013 joining the Tribes BMSS and TRANSITION on her way.
Working at the same time with various types of personally designed methods of Consciousness Workshops, Meditation, Relaxation & Personal Consultation, as well as Energy work for people, based on the intention to “touch, open and liberate the heart of men”.
From then on her creative path is flowing like a river down hill and she realizes that both missions are of the same origin: “opening the heart of men”.
In Transition Festival 2010, pregnant with her daughter Sophia, Jana spontaniously jumps on the stage on Sunday afternoon replacing a missing DJ, and litterally, opening her own heart and the heart of the beloved dancing crowd. The gateway was opened and the sonic mission crystal clear! Transmitting love & healing through soundwaves.
Then Transition Club was build and from 2010 she has been continuing her dream weekly. In her free weekends she has been to gigs in Spain, Malta and Germany.
Progressive & delightful sounds were FreeSoul´s main caracteristics. In 2013 FreeSoul has transformed to Jana, and “FreeSoul” continues existing exclusively in Transition Festival, performing the legendary sunday ritual uniting the heart & the party with mother´s love.
Jana, quite more serious and more forward sound structures than FreeSoul, still unites both elements and is open to adapt her performance to the time of day, and need of dance floor, with only one true guideline: “At the end of the set the crowd must be bewiched, open hearted and in love with themselves” :)
